Old School Derby FOR WOMEN, MEN AND COED SKATERS
With over FORTY derby leagues forming globally weekly it is clear that roller derby is not a passing fad.
Our approach is athletic, competitive and instructional. There are no committee requirements or tryouts for skaters to attend our practices and only advanced skaters form teams.
ALL STAR - TRAVEL TEAM SKATERS CROSS TRAIN WITH ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
all other skaters have team attendance requiremnts for only one month prior to games.
OneWorld Roller Derby skaters must have required intermediate skills to be allowed to attend advanced league practice and our committment is to work with everyone to achieve all necessary skills needed for team placement.
We are working hard to mainstream the sport of roller derby by offering classes through the Seattle Parks Department and area Community Colleges.
OneWorld Roller Derby is in full support of any and ALL derby leagues, affiliations and associations. We are using the rules established by the Roller Derby Olympic committee which is the USARS beta test rules. We are members of OSDA (Old School Derby Association)and will skate competitively with other OSDA leagues using either the OSDA rules and / or USARS rules. OSDA plays an athletic game of derby with the focus on skater skills - no gimmicks.
