Then One World Roller Derby is looking for YOU!
One World is a circuit of community roller derby leagues that teaches derby to beginners and improves the skills of those familiar with the sport. Men and women and junior skaters of all levels are welcome to participate.
Why skate with us? Here is why we're different:
- We teach the basics! If you haven't skated since grade school (or have never skated at all) you can learn with us from the beginning.
- We emphasize good skating habits to promote strength and prevent injury
- We have zero committee requirements, you're here to play derby after all!
- Are you just here for fun, exercise and to make friends? That's ok!
- Are you here to improve your skills and play at a competitive level? Scrimmages take place between leagues and All Star teams will compete with OSDA banked track rules and M.A.D.E.flat track league rules, both with teams located nation wide.
- All star skaters will get their gear and travel expenses paid
- Prefer to Ref or Coach? We're looking for you too.
- Are you under 18? We have junior leagues.
Current Adult Leagues and Schedule:
- Seattle Roller Derby at Magnuson Park schedule changes quarterly please contact info@oneworldrollerderby.com for details and calendar.
- Bellevue Roller Derby at Bellevue Skate King - Tue 8:30-10:30pm
- Tacoma Roller derby at Auburn Skate Connection- Starts September 11th, 2012 on Sundays from 11 am to 1 pm.
Junior Leagues:
- Junior Derby classes and camps available through the Seattle Parks Department: Schedule changes quarterly; please contact info@oneworldrollerderby.com for info ALL Participants must provide quad roller skates, wrist guards, mouth guard, elbow pads, knee pads and helmet.
